Dr. Brooke Kimmel is a PGY1 trained clinical pharmacist with a focus in rheumatology. She completed her Doctor of Pharmacy at Purdue University before completing her residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. During her residency, Dr. Kimmel devoted a portion of her time interviewing and assisting patients with immune-mediated inflammatory diseases. She currently works at a health system-based specialty pharmacy at Rush University Medical Center. In this capacity, she partners with the Rheumatology Clinic to assist with high touch medication management of specialty medications required to treat inflammatory conditions. She enjoys mentoring pharmacy students and teaching them how an understanding of insurance and other financial resources can improve outcomes and reduce prescription drug costs.1.
